About

At Cynthia Hughes Literary Consulting, we’re passionate about books and authors. Our mission is to put great books in front of as many readers as possible. With CHLC’s unique combination of editorial expertise and extensive contacts in the media, bookstores, and the publishing industry, authors and publishers will succeed in making their books stand out.

President Cyndi Hughes was the founding director of the Texas Book Festival, one of the premier literary festivals in the country, and more recently the executive director of the Writers’ League of Texas. Her experience as an editor, a writer, event-planner, and publicist offers a dynamic set of services for both authors and publishers. Her contacts in the publishing industry — including agents, publishers, editors, and publicists — can open doors that are usually closed to the average author or small publisher.

Thanks so much for getting in touch, and my apologies for being so tardy in replying. Because I have a day job, the best thing to do is email me at cyndi.hughes@hughesliterary.com with a question or description of what you’d like to discuss. So if you could do that, we can go from there.
